Pinterest is no longer just a place to go for decorating advice or new recipes. It is a powerful, all-encompassing SEARCH ENGINE with hundreds of thousands of visitors daily.

Pinterest gives you the opportunity to have your pins seen by an unbelievable number of people. And when those people pin and re-pin your pins, the number of viewers grows exponentially.

In order for you to reap the benefits of this search engine by having massive traffic to your blog, you have to create Pinterest pins that will generate clicks through to your website. HOW TO CREATE PERFECT PINTEREST PINS THAT WILL DRIVE TRAFFIC TO YOUR BLOG EVERY TIME:

1. Evaluate your blog content.

Choose what you think will be most helpful or most interesting to your audience and create Pinterest pins for that post.

2. Create multiple Pinterest pins for the same post.

Make sure not to have your pins exactly alike. Change the colors, change the style, change the wording, but have them all lead back to the same post.

Having more than one Pinterest pin for each post increases the size of the audience that sees your pins through your pinning and repining by others on Pinterest.

3. Use different SEO descriptions on your Pinterest pins.

After you have made a number of pins, be sure that they all have slightly different SEO descriptions. Use keywords that are related to the subject matter in your blog post but change them up a bit to appeal to a broader audience.

4. Find keywords to use on your pins.

Find different keywords for your Pinterest pins by typing your subject into Pinterest's search bar and looking at the keywords that come up.

Choose the ones that are relevant to your post and enter them into the description box of the new pin after entering basic information about your post.

5.Use hashtags on your pins.

At one time Pinterest discouraged bloggers from using hashtags, but that has all changed now. Using a few hashtags will help your post to be seen by those searching for relevant content.

6. Pin size and shape:

Make sure that your pins are the right size and the right shape. When you create your Pinterest pins, they should be vertical and the new appropriate pin size is 600 x 900 or a ratio of 2:3.

7. Create perfect Pinterest pins.

Your pins should be attractive and eye catching. You want them to entice your readers to click through to your site to read more.

If you have specific colors and branding for your blog, use those colors for your pins so that they will eventually create blog recognition.

If your pins always have a certain similar look, at some point viewers will begin to associate that particular style with your name and your blog.

8. Designing your pins:

When designing our pins, we use both Picmonkey and Canva. Both platforms are simple to use and give terrific results as you create the perfect Pinterest pin. Click the link below for a Picmonkey free trial.

9. Monitor your pins.

Monitor your pins for re-pins and clicks back to your website. This is valuable information that will let you know what types of posts and pins appeal to your audience. This post will explain exactly how to do this.
